Refugee Action Kingston Second Workshop

Refugee Action Kingston Second Workshop

Today the photocopier and scanning mouse are in the workshop. Today too the group are taking their individual designs that they have drawn with ink and colouring these in and then scanning and joining these together. “Have u seen a scanner like this before”, “Keep the mouse on the paper if u want the scan done properly”.

A design is coloured in and comment follows: “It looks like a festival it’s a fabric in itself maybe have a strip of this running along the fabric”, “It’s like the 101 Dalmatians design”, “I learnt the colouring skills in Afghanistan I don’t know who’s design I just put the colour on it”. Participants are invited to dry their painted designs using the hairdryer before scanning.

Having scanned their images they go to the table to attach designs to the group design: “Colouring is easy cutting is hard, “One big picture we are making”. Someone asks if this is the last workshop and they are told that there will be two more workshops to help make the products.
