Clusters – Centre of opportunity for adults with a disability

Clusters - fabric
FABRIC: Anenome Japonica

Clusters - product
PRODUCT; Bright & cheerful cushions

Clusters is a group that meets regularly to provide adults with disabilities an opportunity to take part in various activities.

We drew anemone japonica from Viv’s garden. They were chosen because Christopher Dresser’s designs had a strong Japanese influence in the late 1800’s. The group produced detailed drawings after looking at the flowers with magnifying glasses. For the colouring session we took one beautiful intricate design & reproduced it many times in a wide range of bright colours as a basis for the group fabric. The flowers were printed on a bright sunny yellow background and made into cushions with a contrasting purple velvet backing.
